Greetings Roadrunners! Due to a power outage yesterday, the HUSD #3 phone systems are down. We are in contact with Sparklight to remedy the matter; however, schools may be without phone service today. In the case of an emergency, please contact: 928-241-4900 and your message will be sent to the schools. You may also email the secretaries, principals or teachers at each school. Roadrunner Fans! Season sports passes are available now! Passes may be purchased from the Holbrook School District Office Monday- Friday from 8 am - 2 pm. HUSD #3 is excited to announce our newest pass, the Golden Pass! This pass is for all Roadrunners 60 or older! The Golden Pass may be purchased for $25 and is good for any and all events throughout SY 22-23 including sports and musical performances! Family passes allow entrance for up to 4 people: Golden Pass $25 Family Season Pass - $60 Family Year Pass -$100 Individual Season - $30 Individual Year - $50 A special thank you to our Roadrunner fans! Greetings Roadrunners! As part of our Healthy Holbrook initiative we want to remind parents and students of our Healthy Holbrook sickness protocols. Please remember to keep students home if they are ill, seek medical attention when needed and remain home until 24 hours symptom free! The beginning of the school year tends to bring about a spike in illnesses due to the convening of our students and staff back on campus. In addition, a reminder that HUSD #3 will follow the Arizona Department of Health Services COVID protocols which include 5 days of isolation for COVID positive cases. Chase Mielke, keynote speaker, spoke to the HUSD 3 staff about the power of influence and the power Roadrunners posses to make positive change in our students’ lives! Congrats Gypsi Gover! Gypsi was awarded $1,000 from Four Peaks Charities for Teachers for her great work as a teacher at Indian Wells Elementary School! Gypsi was nominated for the award by a parent of a child in her class last year! What a well deserved honor! Keep up the great work and thanks for being a Roadrunner, Gypsi!

Kelly Hill traveled to Chicago on June 27th to compete with over 10,000 students from around the nation at the FBLA, NLC (Future Business Leaders of America, National Leadership Conference). Kelly competed in Journalism and walked away with a trophy for 8th place. Way to go Kelly! When One Roadrunner Succeeds, We All Succeed!

Our Teachers New to Teaching (TNT) were teaching like Champions today! They are readying themselves for a great year of teaching and learning! Thank you new teachers, mentors, students (that had their first day of school today😂), Mr. Hollis and principals for all your efforts to prepare out teachers new to teaching this week! HUSD Teachers New to Teaching are already planning for a great school year! New teachers to the profession are learning Teach Like A Champion strategies, working with mentors and learning how to be great teachers! The Tour de SiiHasin took a pit stop at Indian Wells Elementary today! The bikers are a little over half way on their 400 mile journey across the Navajo Nation! Keep it up! You are amazing people!

Greetings Roadrunners! Just a quick reminder that HUSD #3 registration will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, July 19th beginning at 8 am. Registration will be held at each school. Returning students may register online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need help accessing the portal, stop by or call your child's school. At registration you will have the opportunity to purchase a new Device Protection Plan for HUSD #3 technology in case there is damage to your child's Chromebook for just $25 per child. What a ride! HUSD Governing Board Vice-President and Founder of the Tour De SiiHasin bike event; as well as many HUSD students and parents, are participating in the 2022 Tour de SiiHasin Bike Ride this week which spans 400 miles through the Navajo Nation! Amazing people on an amazing ride! Way to go Roadrunners! Be safe and finish strong!

HUSD 3 administration, the Holbrook Police Department, Navajo County Sheriff's Office and the Holbrook Dormitory met to discuss school safety for SY 22-23. HUSD #3 and local law enforcement work together regularly throughout the school year to revisit school safety plans to keep our schools and community safe. Greetings HHS! We hope you are having a wonderful, safe, healthy and relaxing summer! We want to welcome our new Holbrook High School Principal, Mr. Clete Hargrave! Mr. Hargrave has most recently been the Principal at Chinle High School where he has helped the Chinle Wildcats grow and succeed as a high performing school. Mr. Hargrave brings 6 years of principalship experience to Holbrook High School; as well as, experience teaching math at the high school level, as an AVID elective teacher, instructional coach, soccer coach and assistant principal. Mr. Hargrave is excited to build upon Holbrook High School's successes. Mr. Hargrave is married with four children. We are excited to welcome Mr. Hargrave to HHS!
