Greetings Roadrunners! Tomorrow, August 3rd, is the first day of school. We welcome all Roadrunners back and look forward to a fantastic school year! Just a reminder to drive safely around our schools. Many students walk to and from school. We want them to be safe on their journey to learn! WELCOME BACK HUSD 3 STAFF! HUSD 3 staff kicked off SY 22-23 today! Chase Mielke, keynote speaker, spoke to the HUSD 3 staff about the power of influence and the power Roadrunners posses to make positive change in our students’ lives! Our Roadrunner staff are 100% ready to be 100% Roadrunners this year! Welcome back staff, thanks for being Roadrunners!

A big Roadrunner welcome to our new Roadrunner teachers! Today was their first day as teachers at HUSD 3! They are all off to a great start! Welcome to each of you and thanks for being Roadrunners!

Congrats Gypsi Gover! Gypsi was awarded $1,000 from Four Peaks Charities for Teachers for her great work as a teacher at Indian Wells Elementary School! Gypsi was nominated for the award by a parent of a child in her class last year! What a well deserved honor! Keep up the great work and thanks for being a Roadrunner, Gypsi!

Kelly Hill traveled to Chicago on June 27th to compete with over 10,000 students from around the nation at the FBLA, NLC (Future Business Leaders of America, National Leadership Conference). Kelly competed in Journalism and walked away with a trophy for 8th place. Way to go Kelly! When One Roadrunner Succeeds, We All Succeed!

Our Teachers New to Teaching (TNT) were teaching like Champions today! They are readying themselves for a great year of teaching and learning! Thank you new teachers, mentors, students (that had their first day of school today😂), Mr. Hollis and principals for all your efforts to prepare out teachers new to teaching this week! Looking forward to a great year!

Greeting Roadrunners! The school offices at Park, Hulet, IWES, HJHS and HHS will be closed on Monday, July 25th for front office personnel training. HUSD Teachers New to Teaching are already planning for a great school year! New teachers to the profession are learning Teach Like A Champion strategies, working with mentors and learning how to be great teachers! Thanks to Mr. Hollis, our principals and mentors for getting our new Roadrunner teachers ready for a great school year!

The Tour de SiiHasin took a pit stop at Indian Wells Elementary today! The bikers are a little over half way on their 400 mile journey across the Navajo Nation! Keep it up! You are amazing people!

Greetings Roadrunners! Just a quick reminder that HUSD #3 registration will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, July 19th beginning at 8 am. Registration will be held at each school. Returning students may register online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need help accessing the portal, stop by or call your child's school. At registration you will have the opportunity to purchase a new Device Protection Plan for HUSD #3 technology in case there is damage to your child's Chromebook for just $25 per child. More information will be presented at registration. What a ride! HUSD Governing Board Vice-President and Founder of the Tour De SiiHasin bike event; as well as many HUSD students and parents, are participating in the 2022 Tour de SiiHasin Bike Ride this week which spans 400 miles through the Navajo Nation! Amazing people on an amazing ride! Way to go Roadrunners! Be safe and finish strong!

HUSD 3 administration, the Holbrook Police Department, Navajo County Sheriff's Office and the Holbrook Dormitory met to discuss school safety for SY 22-23. HUSD #3 and local law enforcement work together regularly throughout the school year to revisit school safety plans to keep our schools and community safe. Thank you to everyone for keeping our schools and communities safe!

Greetings HHS! We hope you are having a wonderful, safe, healthy and relaxing summer! We want to welcome our new Holbrook High School Principal, Mr. Clete Hargrave! Mr. Hargrave has most recently been the Principal at Chinle High School where he has helped the Chinle Wildcats grow and succeed as a high performing school. Mr. Hargrave brings 6 years of principalship experience to Holbrook High School; as well as, experience teaching math at the high school level, as an AVID elective teacher, instructional coach, soccer coach and assistant principal. Mr. Hargrave is excited to build upon Holbrook High School's successes. Mr. Hargrave is married with four children. We are excited to welcome Mr. Hargrave to HHS! Please stop in and say hi when you are on the HHS campus! Welcome Mr. Hargrave!

When One Roadrunner Succeeds, We All Succeed! Check this out! HHS Roadrunners are on the Cardinals team plane heading for Washington, DC! They are having a conversation with Governor Ducey on the way! How cool is that! Ten HHS students were selected to participate in the Civics Matters trip based on an essay they wrote about civics education this school year! Thank you AZ Cardinals and Governor Ducey for sponsoring the trip! Have a fun and educational time Roadrunners!

2021-2022 Yearbooks On Sale! Students, staff and community members may purchase a SY 21-22 HHS Yearbook at the Holbrook District Office from 8 am - 12 pm June 20th - July 8th. Please contact the District Office prior to coming to pick up a Yearbook to ensure we have staffing at the front desk (928-524-6144). Yearbooks are $40 per issue. Go Roadrunners!
