HJHS! White Mountain League Finals today, Saturday, March 5th. While the HJHS Roadrunners are not playing in the finals today , 8th graders, Mya Francisco and Daniel John will be representing HJHS Roadrunners in the White Mountain League All-Star Game!! Landen Brown and Mya Francisco will be participating in the 3-point contest during half time of the All-Star Games! The All-Star Games will be played in the HHS Gym at 4:00pm (Girls) & 5:00pm (boys). Good Luck to Mya, Daniel and Landen! Today's Events: Admission-$4.00 adults; $2.00 students; under 5-free HJHS Students planning to attend without parent supervision need to bring their event pass.

Great job to our 7th and 8th grade band students. They’ve worked hard this year and have shown so much growth! Great concert! Also, a shout out to the Hulet band for joining our performers on a “Mission to Rock”!

HJHS! How exciting is this? HJHS Jr. Roost/Snack Bar Coming Soon! Our guys, along with the High School Construction class, have been working hard to get this built for the students of HJHS! We can't wait for our students to have this additional perk!

HJHS!! Elks Hoop Shoot Arizona Champion, Payton Orton, 10-11 year old category moved on to compete in the Western US region competition in Las Vegas, NV. Payton represented Arizona well taking 2nd place in Las Vegas. Payton has worked hard to be one of the best free-throw shooters for her age group in the Western US. A Big Congratulations to Payton! We are so proud of her!!

HJHS! Spring Pictures are Almost Here. Monday, March 7th spring pictures will be taken at HJHS for students purchasing a package. ALL 8th Graders: A Panoramic Group Picture will be taken on this day (March 7th), as well. You won't want to miss it! Picture ordering packets were sent home with students today (2/28/22). ROADRUNNER BOYS AND GIRLS SELECTED FOR AIA 3A TEAM SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD! Both the girls and boys basketball teams were selected by AIA referees for this year’s 3A sportsman award! Each team will be recognized during Saturday’s championship games! Congrats players, coaches, parents and fans! WE ARE ROADRUNNERS!

HJHS! HJHS basketball games for today, Thursday, Feb 24th have been cancelled due to travel conditions. Players will have practice after school. Thank you for your understanding~

HJHS Band Concert Date Change! The HJHS band concert has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 3rd @ 7:00pm at the GGPAC (HHS).

STATE CHAMPS! Callie Orton (8-9 year old) & Payton Orton (12-13 year old) are Elks Hoop Shoot State Champions! Both girls will represent Arizona at the western region hoop shoot contest in Las Vegas on February 26th! Callie attends IWES and Payton attends HJHS! HJHS! You just never know what lunch time shenanigans we are going to get in to at HJHS! Today’s….roping fun! Many tried, including deputy Sanchez…but it’s 7th Grader, Zeke Knight, who showed us all how it’s done!

HJHS! Thursday, February 3rd is early release for students (12:00pm) due to Parent-Teacher Conferences. At-Home Chromebook checkout will be held in the HJHS library from 1:00pm-4:30pm and 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

It is tax time! HUSD patrons may reduce their tax bill through a tax credit donation to the school club of their choice! Tax credits are used for student programs that go directly to the club of your choice! Tax credits are collected prior to filing through April for this year’s tax season. HJHS: Parent-Teacher Conferences are next week, Thursday, February 3rd from 1:00pm-7:00pm. Your child's Success Coach-P.A.S.S. Class teacher will be reaching out to set up a time to meet with you. You can also reach out to the school at 928-524-3959 to schedule your time. Conferences may be scheduled virtually or in-person; whatever works best for our parents. Additionally, students will have early release (12:00pm) on conference day (2/3/22).
