🌱🏫 Park Elementary is stepping up its game! 🌟 Thanks to federal education dollars, we've upgraded a portion of our school grounds to eco-friendly turf! 🌿🌞 Not only is it a smart economic move, saving on maintenance costs, but it's also an initiative to reduce water usage. 🌍💡 Our commitment to creating a better future starts right here, where our students learn and grow! 📚✨ #NextLevelRoadrunners #InvestingInOurFuture

Park Little Beepers welcomed Miss Navajo Nation. She taught the students several words in Navajo. Her favorite color is pink and favorite food is spaghetti. Park embraces the diversity we have and enjoy learning about the cultures that make up our school.

There is no better way to show that you LOVE OUR SCHOOL, Park Elementary than by attending our first Academic Parent Teacher Team Meeting tomorrow, October 25th. This year, we are starting a little later to ensure that all families have an opportunity to attend! First Grade will begin at 5:15, and Kindergarten will start at 6:30. APTT strengthens the teacher-family relationship by focusing on student academic growth and achievement. APTT elevates the efforts of traditional parent-teacher conferences by inviting all families of the same classroom teacher to meet together rather than individually. There will be childcare provided so that you can have a parent night out!

Grade 1 students have been studying a world of books this past quarter, which harnesses students' inherent desire to read and learn. Through text, they journey to new places, meeting diverse characters whose lives change positively because of books. Through these texts, they form information to answer the Essential Question: How do books change lives around the world? Students in Mrs. Sanchez's class created dioramas to represent the core texts students read; Tomás and the Library Lady, Green Eggs and Ham, and Waiting for the Biblioburro.

Do your kids ever talk to you about Baby Echo or Mommy Echo? These are puppets we use when teaching Fundations, our foundational phonics program. Echo may say something and the students repeat, or echo, after. This helps reinforce phonemic awareness skills which are critical to students early literacy skills!
