Just a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, November 18th (9:00am) the students of HJHS will be attending a special presentation of “Music and the Message'' by Rosevelt Rawls. Roosevelt, the Ambassador for Childhelp, is a 14 year old from Mesa, AZ. Roosevelt, alongside her dad, presents her message through music and uses her voice to reach other children across the nation. Her message is: Keep children safe from hurt, harm, and bullying-- Five steps to speak up and be safe from abuse. Music and the Message by Rosevelt is intended to inspire, uplift and bring hope to others while advocating for children to speak up against abuse and bullying.
The presentation will be held at the GGPAC at the High School and will last about 40 minutes.
Grades 6th-8th will attend this event together, if you prefer that your child does not attend the presentation of “Music and the Message” please contact the school by 8:00am Thursday morning.

Industrial Arts Classes made Co2 cars and put them into action today by racing. While some didn't survive more than a couple inches others were like little rockets... Way to Go HJHS Industrial Arts!! So much fun!

Halloween Fun Run Day tomorrow, Friday, October 29th. Costumes allowed; no full face mask coverings or weaponry of any kind. We look forward to this fun day at HJHS.

Tomorrow-Thurs. Oct. 28th is "Wall With Me To Be Drug Free". Busses will drop students off at the Old Courthouse. Parents please drop your child(ren) off there as well. Parents are welcome to walk with us. We will begin our Drug Free Celebration at 7:45am.

Walk With Me To Be Drug Free! This Thursday, October 28th HUSD #3 will walk to school from the old courthouse.
Busses will drop students off directly at the old courthouse. Parents, if you drive your child to school please drop them off by 7:45am at the old courthouse. Parents are also welcome to join our walk to school.
We will have staff at HJHS to supervise any students that are dropped off at the school or that walk directly to school.
Also, Thursday, October 28th we are encouraging all staff and students to wear red in support of Being Drug Free!
We are looking forward to our "Walk With Me To Be Drug Free" walk to school.


HJHS--Halloween Fun Run!
Friday, October 29th will be a Halloween Costume Fun Run Day at HJHS. You read that correct "costumes allowed" fun run! Full face Halloween masks will not be allowed. We need to be able to see who our students are. Also, no weaponry (fake or otherwise) will be allowed.
Looking forward to seeing some creative costumes in a safe way.

The Annual District Band Extravaganza will take place tonight at the GGPAC at the Holbrook High School beginning at 7:00pm. The band students of HJHS will be performing along with other band students in grades 5-12. We hope you can join us for a musical celebration.

TONIGHT, District Choir Concert at 6:00pm GGPAC. HJHS choir students will be participating. Please join us for a musical event.

HJHS! We are experiencing issues with our phone lines throughout HUSD #3 this morning. Our tech department is working with Sparklight to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

HJHS Choir students will be participating in the District Choir Festival tomorrow, Wednesday, October 6th @ 6:00pm. Please join us at the GGPAC for this musical fun!
