HJHS! Chromebook Return Next Week! Mark Your Calendars: Tuesday, May 16th and Wednesday, May 17th HJHS will be collecting at-home Chromebooks. Students will need to return their case with their Chromebook and Charger next week on Tuesday or Wednesday.

HJHS would like to thank the Holbrook High School student council for hosting the 8th graders for orientation day today! The 8th graders loved spending their morning on the HHS campus and are looking forward to soon becoming the official freshman class.

HJHS! We sure do appreciate our Teachers! Today our teachers enjoyed a morning breakfast bag because they really do know how to take on a challenge and "Rise and Shine". Big Congratulations to Mr. McDaniel. He was today's winner of the "Family Game Night Gift Bag" drawing. *A special thank you to Mrs. Yvonne Larson for providing the gift bag! HJHS wants to give a Shout Out and a Huge Thank You to the Holbrook High School Music Department for their visit to HJHS today! Not only did they entertain us with some fantastic musical numbers they were able to increase awareness of what the high school has to offer for students interested in musical arts. ~Also, thank you to Mr. Gardner and Mrs. Meeks for including HJHS in their HUSD#3 Music Tour and for the Most Entertaining Quad Concert!~ Your students Rocked!

HJHS! Today, our student council members attended the White Mountain Junior High Student Council Retreat. The students joined other school's student council to discuss and share ideas for fundraising, service projects, goals, assemblies, elections and wishes in an effort to advance their service to their respective schools. They played team building games and made positive connections with other student leaders across the White Mountain area! ~We are proud of our HJHS Student Council and their commitment to serving others! No question, they are 100% Roadrunner!~

HJHS! It was a great day learning about positive #Cyberskills with the Be Kind People Project Crew! ~HJHS students, joined by the Indian Wells 6th Graders, attended and engaged with the Be Kind Crew assembly to focus their attention to "Be Kind Online"; Building respectful, responsible, and safe online relationship skills...Keeping it real...Keeping it 100! The crew reinforced positive social media interactions through dance, skits and discussion to empower students to Be Kind Online! #Cyberskills

Our HJHS choir students visited the Holbrook Senior Center, performed some musical numbers, made positive community connections, and made us all proud. ~Thank You to our HJHS Choir Roadrunners for their Great Work and Commitment to Making Others Smile!~

HJHS! The WINNER is...7th Grade!~ Miss Estridge's group walked away as Kickball Champions. All of the classes and students worked together, showed great sportsmanship and had a great morning of making positive connections through competitive play! Way to Go HJHS Roadrunners!

HJHS! Some of our student council members attended the Victims' Rights Symposium through the Victim's Right Advocacy Center with Navajo County. These young leaders are doing great work!~ ~Thanks for being 100% Roadrunner: Joey Meeks, Chase Brewer, Madisen Hatch, William Cassidy, Robert Herndon, Orlando Jaramillo and sponsors Ms. Jimenez and Mrs. Plumb!~ ~AND...Check this Out...7th Grader, Orlando Jaramillo won second place in the poster contest winning himself $250.00 and a trophy!~ ~We are so proud of our student council leaders!~

HJHS sure does appreciate these two ladies! They are 100% Roadrunner in all they do for the students, parents, and staff everyday! We would like to wish Jamie and Sandra a Happy Secretary's Day and will be celebrating them with gratitude tomorrow, Wednesday, April 26th. ~Please join us in sending them a shout-out and a thank you!~

HJHS! Just a reminder that the AZ State Required Testing make-ups begin tomorrow, April 25th. If students missed any of their state testing last week they must participate in the make up sessions. All state testing is required to be completed by the end of the day on Thursday, April 27th. Thank you for helping HJHS ensure compliance with state testing requirements.
