On November 9th, Park and Hulet's PBIS team traveled to the BET-C PBIS conference in Phoenix, Arizona. While there, our team learned various strategies and systems to strengthen our positive school culture and ensure that all Roadrunners are respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. In addition, we received an award for Tier 1 fidelity! I am super proud of all our students and staff who made this possible! #NextLevelRoadrunner

Hulet Elementary continued to celebrate Native American Heritage Month this past week. The students welcomed Miss Navajo Nation who shared with students the work she does on behalf of the Nation. We then had the Pow Wow dancers treat our students to traditional dances. This ended with a round friendship dance. #DiversityIsOurStrength

When One Roadrunner Succeeds We All Succeed! Miss World Arizona Sukie Cheema, class of 2018, came to Hulet today to interact with students and see former teachers. She fondly reflected on her time as a Park Performer and Hulet Harmonizer (now Rockin' Roadrunners) with Mrs. Hunsaker who she credited her with teaching her to sing. Thanks for visiting Sukie and good luck at Nationals in 3 weeks!
