On this Veterans Day, we are thinking of those who have served our country and those who continue to do so everyday. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Thank you to Mrs. Hunsaker, the Rockin’ Roadrunners and all students who have participated in our Veterans Day Assembly.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our annual Walk With Me to Be Drug Free even at the Old Courthouse.
All busses will drop off at the Old Courthouse. If you typically drop your student off at school, please drop them off at the courthouse.
Our Food Service Department will have breakfast available. A short presentation will begin at 7:55 am with the walk beginning at approximately 8:20 am.
Our essay winners will be reading their essays during the rally! Congratulations to Roy Gishie, Dallas Hayes, and Clayton Johnson for first place winning and the opportunity to read their essay tomorrow!

Monday kicks off Red Ribbon Week. Our theme this year is "Drug Free Looks Like Me"
Remember on Thursday to wear red. Meet at the Old Courthouse at 7:30 for our annual Walk With Me to Be Drug Free Rally!

Today students at Park and Hulet participated in our annual Fire Wise assembly at the George Gardner Performing Arts Center.
Our students learned what fire needs to thrive, tools fire fighters use, and the importance of testing our smoke detectors once a month and developing an evacuation plan in our homes.
We also had friendly competition between the schools. Mr. Morgan and Mrs. Morgan unraveled a fire hose and wound it back up to determine which school gets to keep the Fire Wise Helmet. The winner this year was….Mrs. Morgan and Park Elementary.
Thank you Holbrook Volunteer Fire Department!

Did you know that it is a School Bus Safety Week? Our transportation department travels 500,000 miles a year in our district. The majority of our students arrive at school via the school bus.
All of our students were taught appropriate school bus behavior at the beginning of the school year and we encourage you to review the video with your students as well!

Third through fifth grade students: interested in spelling bee? It will meet on Mondays from 3:30-4:30. You will need to have transportation after Spelling Bee. Contact Mrs. Taylor for more information!

Students at Hulet participate in Daily Math Skills. This, along with the games that families received at APTT, help our students achieve their grade-level fluency expectations.
Students develop the routines of being the “coach” as well as the “player” to master their math skills to be both fast and accurate!

Rockin’ Roadrunners had a great time performing at the HUSD District Choir Festival.
Great job students, Mrs. Hunsaker and Mrs. Self!

1.3 inches of rain was not going to stop us from celebrating our positive behavior from quarter 1.
Through fitness activities, our students joined each other in recognizing their drive to be respectful, responsible, safe, and kind while at school.

Calling all Third through Fifth Grade students:
Spelling Bee is coming up! Want to attend? Have to have great attendance, transportation after school for Monday meetings, personal commitment to study, and drive to attend District and/or County Spelling Bee.
