Mr. Fosburgh enjoyed showing Senator Wendy Rogers around Hulet Elementary and discussing educational priorities for Hulet.
Thank you for your visit!

REMINDER: Tomorrow is the AASA Writing Assessment. This test is given annually for students at Hulet in grades THIRD, FOURTH, and FIFTH. Students are given multiple texts and then asked to write an essay to inform or to give their opinion. You can find more information about the AASA, including Sample Tests by visiting: https://bit.ly/3u6WWY9
Testing will begin promptly at 8:45 so please ensure that your child gets to school on time, as we cannot interrupt testing once it's begun. If for any reason your child is not able to make it, we will be hosting make-ups on 4/14 as all students tests must be completed by 4/15. Score reports will be sent via mail once they become available, usually in the summer.
Congratulations to Anthony Moyte and Willow Guttery!
During the Hulet Science Fair, they worked together to study how baking soda effects foods when baked. They soared through the County Fair and were invited to present virtually for the State Science Fair last Monday.

Hulet Elementary is hosting their annual science fair. Students, in groups or individually, went through the scientific method to perform an experiment.
Individuals or groups who score first or second place will have an opportunity to have their project taken to Snowflake for the regional fair.
The Hulet Fair is opened on 2/16 and 2/17 from 9:30-4:30 for family viewing. Please be sure to check in the office prior to going to the cafeteria.
Next week is Kindness Week at Hulet Elementary! Join us with some fun dress up days!
As a reminder, please do not deliver candies, flowers, or balloons to students at school. These will not be sent to the classroom until the final thirty-minutes of the day and balloons and flowers cannot be brought on the bus!
Congratulations to our our Hulet students who participated in the District Spelling Bee last night. First place was awarded to Anthony Moyte, second place goes to Merrick Adams and third place was awarded to Jaiden Quezada.
These students, along with our fifth place alternate, Josiah Wiles, will represent HUSD at the Navajo County Spelling Bee next week in Snowflake.
It was a great turn out and many of our students third through fifth grade did an excellent job! Special thanks to Mrs. Taylor for sponsoring the Bee and organizing the district bee.
Congratulations Roadrunners and good luck next week!
It’s National School Counselor Week! Hulet and Park Elementary are so lucky to have TWO full time counselors on staff, Mrs. Stephanie Peters and Mr. Steven Santos.
Their primary focus is to meet the social and emotional needs of students in individual, small-group, and whole group lessons!
Let Mrs. Peters and Mr. Santos know how much we appreciate them on our campuses.
After our second APTT meetings on Tuesday, our teachers came together to debrief and discuss ways to make the third APTT meeting better then this one.
At Hulet, we look for growth over perfection. We are grateful for your partnership with us. We are better together!
